Ingredients
- (1 lb.) Ground Lamb
- (1 egg) Eggs, 1 Dozen
- (1/4 cup) Breadcrumbs
- (2 cloves) Garlic, minced
- (2 tbsp) Parsley or Mint, chopped
- (1 tsp) Ground Cumin
- (1/2 tsp) Salt
- (1/4 tsp) Black Pepper
- (1 cup) Plain Greek Yogurt
- (1 tbsp) Olive Oil
- (1 tbsp) Lemon Juice
- (2 tbsp (dill, parsley, or mint)) Fresh Herbs, chopped
- (to taste) Salt
Directions
- Mix the meatballs: In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, herbs, and spices. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form & cook: Roll into small meatballs (about 1–1.5 inches). Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook meatballs in batches, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through (about 8–10 minutes).
- Make the sauce: Stir together yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and chopped herbs. Season with salt to taste.
- Serve: Plate the meatballs with a generous dollop of yogurt sauce. Add greens, warm flatbread, or rice on the side.
